The Waites of Gloucester have given a number of performances recently. Do have a look at some of the photographs taken.

The Waites of Gloucester are modelled on the band of musicians run by the City of Gloucester in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The Waites also perform locally in the Cotswolds under the name "Her Majestie's Pleasure". They had a long association with the Cotswold Early Music Festival, playing regularly at their concerts and other events.

In addition to regular performances, members of the band frequently give lively talks on the origin and development of the instruments they play, and the context in which they would be used.
