The Waites have frequently performed in support of fundraising events, particularly for old churches. In addition the Waites take part in Workshops, musical weekends and other gatherings of early musicians.

The Waites of Gloucester have a range of activities and programmes, including:

• Concerts. These are generally informal and relaxed affairs with frequent interaction with the audience.
• Incidental and background music for social events, banquets etc (but keep a firm grip on stray bottles!).
• Talks and demonstrations. These can be given to adult, school or mixed audiences. There is often opportunity for those present to try out some of the instruments. Recent talks have been given in Moreton-in-Marsh, Cirencester, Swindon and Nailsworth.

The group is a “not for profit” organisation, but welcomes contributions to help cover necessary expenses. We are insured for public liability through the National Federation of Music Societies.
